We provide fresh, effective, affordable and sustainable solutions for everyone impacted by the slavery of addiction. Our mission is to make expert recovery resources readily available for all individuals, families, organisations, churches and communities who need them. Starting today, Urban Recovery is your recovery partner.
While your Recovery is our primary focus, we also analyze all aspects of your life, such as your lifestyle and environment, to try to get to the root of the issue. Wherever possible we also invite your family and loved ones to join us on your journey back to good habits and health.
No one decides to become an addict. There are normally very complex and deep personal reasons for falling prey to such a debilitating disorder. At Urban Recovery SA we see addiction as a symptom of a larger illness, almost as an attempt to self medicate and keep that illness at bay. Here, our philosophy is different. We believe that treating an addiction is only part of the healing process. We look to rehabilitate the whole, or at least identify where the greater problem lies.
At our treatment center, we use our own unique program in association with Project Exodus and practice in a safe and warm environment of mutual understanding. We aim to give you control of your life back, help you reconcile with your past and empower you to embrace the future.
Confidential and Comprehensive
Being part of a recovery community is an essential part of the recovery process – proven to significantly contribute to sustainable rehabilitation outcomes. Recovery groups help to develop a new set of principles and core beliefs which sustain a positive recovery lifestyle, and increasing feelings of belonging and security and reinforcing the culture of recovery through social learning. Individuals with similar life experiences deliver informational and emotional support; providing empathy, giving encouragement and building hope. The sharing of knowledge, skills and resources equips and empowers group members to not only prevent relapse, but also reach their full potential.
Where counselling generally deals with an individual's past in order to heal emotional pain, coaching helps guide the individual's current and future behaviour and decisions through difficult conversations and accountability. The focus of a coaching relationship is on helping the individual to decide on the best course of actions to take to achieve their envisioned future.
